1. My guiding word for 2017 is prayer. Everyone and everything needs some, as far as i can tell, and the kind of work i do lends itself to spending a lot of time praying.
2. No invitations have made their way to my home for the last several class reunions. Yes, i'm on the mailing list. Yes, i get a "save the date" notice. Next thing i get is the newsletter telling me how much fun they had. Yes, i get all the other newsletters from the school to alumni also. Being that i wasn't with the popular crowd, my guess is someone really doesn't want me there, and that's fine.
3. Truth be told, i am superstitious about having money in my pocket on New Year's Eve. Supposedly being broke that night means you will stay broke all year. While i don't really believe that, i'm not going to take a chance!
4. Lately, i have been wondering how big our tax bill will be this year. We scrape by month to month, but according to the government, we owe more every single year.
