1. If someone were visiting my area, i would recommend a visit to at least one swamp/bayou (either a walking tour or a boat tour, whichever was preferred), the House That Huey Built (the State Capitol Building, complete with stories about the Kingfish), NOLA to Cafe du Monde for coffee and beignets, and as many restaurants between NOLA and Lafayette as you had time to squeeze in. You might have to waddle home, but it would be worth it!
2. My favorite room in my home is a toss up between the kitchen and the library. They open into each other anyway, and i sit where i can see both.
3. Back-to-school time makes me think of both the worst and the best teachers i ever had. You know the best because they had nicknames like Mr. Z and Miss Piggy. The worst i'd rather not talk about!
4. My favorite year of school was any year in college, because i didn't have to dink around with too many classes i didn't want to take, and i could set my schedule to have all my classes over by noon and get the rest of the day to myself.
