It's time once again for a random and happy Tuesday, linking up with Stacy's Random Thoughts at Stacy Uncorked and Sandee at Comedy Plus.
There is proof, my friends, that’s it’s not always the female of the species that is gabby.
This Sunday, two church friends asked Sweetie if he could join them for dinner on Thursday. He told them he didn’t see why not, but that he would check the calendar and ask me to make sure.
He asked me, and i said one word, the name of his old college friend. “Oh, yeah!” he said. He’d forgotten that his friend will be in town and he’s already going to visit with that friend on Thursday.
At prayer group that evening, i told one of the two who had invited him, Husband can’t make it Thursday, he forget he has promised to spend time with a friend who will be in town. The response was, Okay.
That was probably less than 30 seconds.
Sweetie called the other friend and spent almost 10 minutes explaining who the out-of-town friend was, where he lives, what he does for a living, how he has written a book, and so on, before getting to the point that he was busy on Thursday. It was almost painful to listen to, i kept wanting him to get to the point!

Dr. D decided to tackle the freezer yesterday. We pulled up a big bucket, lined it with a bag, and went after it. She kept pulling things out of the freezer and handing them to me and saying, “What is that?”
Finally, after trying several times to figure out what the UFOs (unidentified frozen objects) were, i simply replied, it’s a mess! and dropped it into the bucket for disposal.
Two nice sized bags were disposed from the freezer and fridge, and both are still full. How does that happen?
Last Thursday the garage called and told her the van is repaired, she could come get it at her convenience. Since she cannot drive two vehicles at the same time, she told them she’d be there on Monday when she could get a ride up there to retrieve it.
On the way to bring more stuff to the office, we stopped at the garage to let her get the van. She went in and came back out and said, “They decided it wasn’t ready, they wanted to change the spark plugs!”
In some serious news, Daughter-in-Law Becky’s father went to the hospital last night, he seems to have some intestinal trouble. Prayers and good wishes for a quick recovery would be appreciated.
