This week was tough, and by Friday morning the old depression was wanting to knock at the door.
How to keep it at bay? A challenge -- can i find enough to be thankful for that i can do a whole Ten Things post just on one morning? It doesn't take the problems away, but it puts them in perspective.
Lunceford the Land Yacht started and the heater worked to clear the windows.
Everyone made it to Bible study.
We studied and we talked and laughed a lot.
Derek the Sexton told me he and his sweetheart, Ms. Patty, were getting married that very day! A small ceremony right there at the church with just one of the pastors and two witnesses. That in itself made my morning, hopeless romantic that i am.
Traffic mostly cooperated (meaning we only stopped on the freeway twice).
After i picked Sweetie up to head to work, we had a few minutes to stop at Trader Joe's so he could get his beloved soy sauce. There was money in the account to get it, and he went in so i wouldn't go and get all glassy eyed wanting to get more stuff. (That place is dangerous!)
Ms. GA was at the house when we got there, and Mr. BA was there by the time we left, so i didn't have to go dig out the hidden key.
We got the whole place done in 2 1/2 hours!
The money to make the payment on the car repair was already in my pocket to give Sweetie so he could drop it off after he left me at the second job.
There was plenty of time for me to get to the second job and i even beat Ms. G there, so i got to sit and relax on a beautiful, sunny morning while waiting for her.
There, i knew i could, ten things in just one morning. It just proves, there's always something, and that reminds me of what i heard on the radio this morning. Instead of saying, "I'll be happy when...," substitute, "I'm so happy I get to ... now." It prevents us from putting off life waiting for something specific to happen.
Please join us and our gracious and wonderful hostess Kristi from ThankfulMe, write up your own list and link up to Ten Things of Thankful.
