It's time once again for a random and happy Tuesday, linking up with Stacy's Random Thoughts at Stacy Uncorked and Sandee at Comedy Plus.
A few weeks ago (yes, this really happened), a lady was standing outside of the Methodist Church holding a sign that said:
The end is near!
A few of the members of the church were in a quandary, wondering what, if anything, they should do. Someone finally approached her and asked if she would like to come in and join them for worship and maybe coffee in the parlor after.
At first she looked startled, and then she burst out laughing and said, "Oh, I understand! No, I'm holding this sign for the people who are running in the downtown marathon today, to tell them they are getting close to the finish line!"
Even Dr. D can't top that one today. She had taken a medication last week that left her feeling quite green around the gills, and spent most of the time in bed or sitting down.
We still got things done, i ran errands and dragged items out to the curb to be picked up with the garbage tomorrow.
She is still trying to decide if the outdoor iron furniture is going to be given away or set at the curb for any takers. She wants to ask around to see if anyone wants it.

Trust me, it would need enough work that no one wants it. If we set it out next week, a scrapper will get it, which is the best thing that could happen.
If anyone needs a pick-me-up story after all the news about Notre Dame (i sure do!), here's one. It starts out awful, with a young man's attempted suicide. Everyone, especially the doctors, thought he was a goner. When they finally decided to remove the breathing tube, he woke up and began responding.
Everyone is astounded, ecstatic, and overjoyed. He is the brother of one of #1 Son's very good friends, and he has a long road to recovery, but he's on the way.
Finally, a funny for your amusement that i probably should have posted with my poem yesterday, but i didn't think of it:
