We had our elections back in October, since all of ours were for local and state positions, and the run-off is this coming Saturday for the few races that need a run-off. To me, this quote on the Civic Association announcement board is quite profound:

They were just right over here, I swear,
Now I can't find them anywhere,
No, I don't have another pair,
Honey, I can't find my glasses!
There's no way for me to see,
I can't drive and I've places to be,
Please get over here and help me,
Help me find my glasses!
Yes, I know that it's a chore,
Yes, it really is a bore,
It seems to happen even more,
That I lose my glasses!
All my life I have misplaced,
To look for them around I've raced,
Your weariness of looking is well based,
But I'm always losing my glasses!
The keys are also always lost,
Watches, coats, umbrellas tossed,
My losing stuff has a heavy cost,
Still, please help me find my glasses!
No, I can't promise it won't happen again,
I'll lose them by tomorrow and then
The next day as well, until the end of when,
