Poetry Monday was started by Diane at On The Alberta/Montana Border. Jenny at Procrastinating Donkey is taking a break due to her husband's health. Charlotte/Mother Owl almost always participates, too. This week the theme is High School Antics.
If truth be told, as indeed, it should,
In high school i was mostly good.
"I don't drink, smoke, or chew, or date boys who do!"
That was my motto, through and through.
So what did i do for fun? It was lame,
And compared to others, very tame.
My friends and i would get in my car,
A drive 'round the area, near and far,
At every stop sign and every light,
We'd hop out and trade seats with each other left and right.
Other drivers would laugh to see
Us running 'round the car like buzzy, silly bees.
So that's the truth, being told as it should,
In high school, i was boring and good!
