In memory of Jo Wake, I would love it if you could include the word dragon in your stories.
She held the pen over the BOOK and hesitated. She knew it never helped when she did that, but sometimes she couldn't help it. She wanted the handwriting to be just right for this special new entry, and she'd only just been promoted to be the calligrapher for the clan very recently. It was a great honor, and one she took seriously.
After all, there hadn't been a new BIRTH to celebrate in quite a while in the DRAGON Clan. She looked out over the BAY and reminisced. The last big CELEBRATION in the clan had been when her father, His MAJESTY, had remarried. She had not FORGOTTEN how her stepmother had worked so hard to make her feel included and wanted and special, even in the midst of her own happiness in joining the clan.
This SMALL, new HALF SISTER wouldn't remember the party being thrown in her honor, but she would be told, of course. Someday, she thought, I'll show her the entry with her name, HOPE, and tell her how happy we were when she arrived.
The BELLS rang out that the men of the clan were back from their HUNT. There would be fresh roasts at the feast, not just the dried meat from last season, as was fitting.
