Poetry Monday was started by Diane at On The Alberta/Montana Border. Jenny at Procrastinating Donkey is on a blog break and is sorely missed. Charlotte/Mother Owl always participates, and now Karen at Baking in a Tornado is jumping in some weeks, too. Spike's Best Mate often leaves a wonderful poem in the comments on one of our blogs.
This week the theme is Favorite Words That Start With the Letter D.
D's a delightful letter
It has a certain ring
Without it there'd be something missing
In the fun word "ding-a-ling"!
We wouldn't have "dynamic,"
"Delicious", "doctor," or "dime,"
Couldn't call someone "darling,"
Floor and door would no longer rhyme.
The best word we have with D though
Isn't "donut" or "dance" or "dinner,"
Though i love "dragon,""dog," and "dandy,"
It's "daddy" that's the winner!
