It's time once again for a random and happy Tuesday, linking up with Stacy's Random Thoughts at Stacy Uncorked and Sandee at Comedy Plus.
We had a wonderful Mother's Day taking Grandma to lunch. We went to an Asian style restaurant that shall remain nameless, as the chief subject of conversation there was the music and how it left much to be desired.
It was not traditional music such as you hear at most Chinese restaurants, it was modern instruments playing in an Asian style that had the same five tones played over, and over, and over, and over, and finally Grandma said, "They could use that music in a torture chamber. I'd tell them anything they wanted to hear just to get the music to stop!"
Every few minutes one of us would stop, look up, and say, "Yep, still the same music!"
It got to be a running gag, especially as the service was a bit slow. We had plenty of time to think of things we would confess to if we were locked in a room with that music for hours on end.
"Yes, I was a bad chef! I whipped the cream and beat the eggs!"
On Monday, i was quite surprised to get to Carl's place and no one was home. The family had gone to visit relatives for Mother's Day and hadn't gotten back yet.
Not a problem, i have a key, so i let myself in and got to it. Even though Carl wasn't there, he'd left me with a couple of things to smile about. When he packed, he had obviously not known whether he would be warm or cool during the night, so he took one pair of long pajama pants and one pair of short pajama pants, and one pajama top.
All 3 from different sets of pajamas.
This i know because i washed and folded all of the mates, the two tops and the one bottom he didn't take, and put them away.
How much you want to bet it takes him the whole rest of the week and two loads of laundry to get into matching pajamas again?
His mom has a rule, anything in his refrigerator that doesn't have a top or lid on it is to be thrown away.
Somehow i don't think this is what she meant:
