I think that I shall never see

Someplace that I'd rather be

Lazy days, laid back nights

And those naps that are just right

Nestled on that beautiful shore

Delights that you just can't ignore

Linking up with Denise at Girlie On The Edge Blog, where she hosts Six Sentence Stories, and the cue is Island.

(Our vacation place, Perdido Key, is an island, and it's one of my favorite places ever.  Even though Grandma and Grandpa don't own a condo down there any more, they will rent one there next year so everyone can have some vacation time again in June.)

Gosia at Looking for Identity has taken over Good Fences, and it's now Good Fences Around The World.  Post a picture of a fence or gate, link back to her blog, and go visit other blogs to see what interesting fences there are out in this big world.

Ms. V and Mr. L, Carl's parents, got a new fence.

It's Angel Sammy's Poetry Day!  This week's image and my poem:

Here, fishy fishy!

Is what i'd want to say

But yes, i know it really

Doesn't work that way.

This young one has it right

Just sit and quiet be,

And if you've got a good spot,

You'll get a nibble or three!

Brian of Brian's Home hosts the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.   It's time to share something for which i am thankful.

Today i'm thankful GusGus die Fledermaus passed inspection and got a new sticker (plus new wiper blades and other stuff, the rest will be included on Saturday's Thankful Day post).  Happiness is knowing you don't have to get inspected for another year!
