Full of Thankfuls, a Ten Things of Thankful Post

This week has been full, so it's time to be Thankful.

Last Saturday was Red-headed Alec's mom's funeral.  It was a fitting tribute and i am thankful i was able to go.

About two weeks ago, i noticed Little Girlie was acting strangely, and figured out she had a urinary tract infection.  Since she was 16 and crotchety and always hated going to the vet, i am thankful i was able to get my vet to give me the antibiotics without having to take her in.

The first few days went well, she was feeling better, and then she suddenly went downhill fast.  Always thin, she had no reserve, and when it got to the point where it would be cruel to keep trying to treat her, we let our vet help her to the other side.

We're thankful we had her as long as we did and that her end was peaceful.

#2 Son came to visit, and he told us he thought Dansig wasn't acting like himself.  We took Dansig in and we're thankful #2 Son spoke up.  Dansig is diabetic, and i'm glad i am not squeamish about giving insulin shots.  In addition, Dansig doesn't object or get mad or fight it, and i'm thankful about that, too.

It had been a while since Ms. JAI called me, and i was starting to be concerned.  She finally contacted me, she'd been out of town for over a month.  We were thankful to reconnect and i was thankful for my arsenal of tools for cleaning toilets.  After a month, they all had a ring that fought back!

Thursday at Ms. SE's house i got a break i don't get often.  Her mother was in town and helped me fold the clothes.  If my back is going to object to anything, it's moving furniture and folding clothes, so i'm always thankful for help with either.

We got to the laundromat this week, always a thankful thing although i don't always mention it.  This week it had gotten almost critical.

Sweet William, Ms. GA's newest rescue, is doing well.  He cooperated with getting into the carrier to go get his staples out, and he's free from being confined to the bathroom although he still shouldn't do too much that's strenuous.  We're all thankful for him, he's a love.

The big news is that Brother-in-Law's taxes are done, and i'm always thankful to get that out of the way.  From the moment he is given his W2 at work, he starts fretting about it.  It took less than an hour this time and he's getting a nice refund, so he's thankful, too.

Please write up your own list and link up to Ten Things of Thankful, where Dyanne and her co-hosts always have a warm welcome waiting.
