Poetry Monday was started by Diane at On The Alberta/Montana Border Jenny at Procrastinating Donkey is on a blog semi-break and her poetry is sorely missed, we hope she comes back soon.   Charlotte/Mother Owl participates, and now Karen at Baking in a Tornado is jumping in at least once a month, too.  Anyone else is welcome to join in the fun, just let Diane know!

This week the theme is Imperfection.

Three couples decided

the weekend to fill

renting a beach condo

and splitting the bill.

They spent some time walking

the sandy beach shore

the joy of sandy beaches

is never a bore.

When bikini clad beauty

came walking their way

they all stared in awe

and had nothing to say.

She looked like a goddess

body perfect and tan,

knew she had the attention

of every man.

After she passed them

one wife had her say,

"She's not so perfect

in every way."

Her husband knew better

than to challenge his wife,

he kept his trap shut

for he valued his life.

The other men had to

challenge her word,

"She was an 11!"

was from them heard.

"She wasn't so perfect,"

did she then repeat.

"Didn't you notice?

She had flat feet!"

(This is based on a true story, as told by Mr. Hal in prayer group.)
