It's time once again for a Random and Happy Tuesday, linking up with Stacy's Random Thoughts at Stacy Uncorked and Sandee at Comedy Plus.
Carl is getting a bit better about staying on top of the laundry. Yesterday he had put half a load in the dryer and the other half on top of the washer, then started another load. At least all of is was done on a proper wash cycle, and he's trying.
There was also a dryer ball in the washer. At least for now, all five are still present and accounted.
Of course, he still hangs up dirty clothes sometimes to get them off the floor. Ms. V is so concerned one of us will trip or slip in his room she tells him to get everything off the floor, so he does.
He doesn't see the mess unless it's pointed out to him. Spiders, those he sees. He came blasting out of the bathroom yesterday yelling, "Spider!"
There was a spider. It was tiny, as in, smaller than an apple seed tiny, and was crawling on the shower curtain. I managed to find it and gently get it outside.
Carl was not impressed, but i think the spider appreciated it.
Once that was dealt with, he started telling me something about his weekend. It sounded like he said, "I went to fam ham, but I didn't see much at the market, and now I can't get into the church website."
When i am not sure what he's talking about, and i know he needs to get on with breakfast and get to work, i simply nod and tell him i hope it works out soon. If we have time, i can generally ask enough questions to work out what he means, but before breakfast isn't a good time.
Speaking of breakfast, i handed him an apron.
Of course i found it on the floor later. As i went to give it back to him, i found him already wearing a different one from the kitchen. Apparently it's starting to sink in that he needs to put an apron on over his work clothes so he doesn't have to change again before work.
As his mother, Ms. V, says, "I hate to do laundry, so I almost always wear an apron when I eat, I'd rather wash one apron than several shirts!"
I found the stain remover spray in the car this week (last week it could not be located), along with three of his five sticks of deodorant.
I found his lunch box in the fridge with the same cold pack in it i'd put in there last week. He doesn't seem to realize it needs to be changed so it will refreeze and keep his food cold.
He goes shopping and puts items, bags and all, in the fridge.
Yes, one bag in the fridge this week held gift cards. If it comes home in a shopping bag, it's not lost, it's in the refrigerator.
One thing he did lose track of was the lid to his pocket pill carrier. (I found it later in a pants pocket.)
He had a gas-x pill in there, and because he'd lost the top, he'd tried to substitute a penny to hold the pill in. Clever, but very unsanitary.
He seems to have a plethora of left shoes these days. No telling what happened to the right shoes, but his mother is getting rid of shoes and getting him new ones anyway right now. He does wear them out in his line of work.
Carl is so easily distracted. He kept stopping to try to sort through the clothes i was putting on hangers, and i kept telling him to scoot and get to work. He would head for the door, then refuse to scoot on out, coming back into the house for this and that. I never did find out what the "this and that" was.
