It's time once again for a random and happy Tuesday, linking up with Stacy's Random Thoughts at Stacy Uncorked and Sandee at Comedy Plus.
Walking in and finding the laundry room is not a mess is not encouraging at Carl's. It's suspicious.
The clean laundry, or he said it was clean, was on his chair at the table. It turned out when i played the "clean or dirty game" with his clothes later that only some of it was clean.
Some of it was hung up. Sort of. He's not always good with hangers.

Yes, that is a shoe on his table. It's okay, he eats in the main kitchen, this one is mostly for catching shoes and anything else he puts on it.
As for the rest of the laundry, i found it.
I'd arrived early, and he wasn't in bed, also suspicious. He peeked out of the living room and said, "I don't think I feel well, should I call in sick?"
Whipping the mask i keep with me for emergencies out of my pocket, i put it on and told him, "That's your call, you are the only one who knows how you feel."
While i doubt he was "sick" sick, i didn't take a chance and kept the mask on.
He chose to stay home. "I can't figure out how to put in my PTTO!" he told me as i was getting him a clean sheet and pillowcase to use while napping in his chair in the living room. The ones he was using needed laundering whether he stayed home or not.
Mr. L stepped in to help with the technicalities of calling in sick in the modern age, it's above my pay grade.
Meanwhile, he suddenly has lots more pillows.

Mr. L has serious pain and sleep problems and often buys new pillows which are supposed to be of help. We can't throw the old ones away, we are too frugal. Carl now has six, maybe seven, i'm losing track.
When Carl stays home on cleaning day, it's always a race to see if i can clean everything before he decides to come mess things up again.
He came in to get something from his fridge, which showed me the challenge the fridge would be.
One of the grocery bags he'd stuffed in there had a dental floss pick, a sandwich in a baggie, and a bottle of the OTC medicine he sometimes uses for "irregularity." He'd spilled most of the bottle in the bag.
The other bag held a small melon, an avocado, and salad dressing. The salad dressing was not in a bottle. I didn't ask why salad dressing was all over the outside of a melon and an avocado, as he probably had no idea how it had happened and even if he did, i doubt i'd understand the explanation.
He also came in to his room at various times while i was cleaning, once to brush his teeth, and once to put on deodorant. When i asked him why he needed to put on deodorant when he was going back to bed, he looked confused. In other words, he doesn't know, either.
A good thing is while playing "clean or dirty" i found his car keys. They were in the pocket of his jeans, along with 3 crumbling Tums. His pockets can be an adventure in themselves and are another reason i wear gloves.
He'd gone to the dentist the week before, and something told me to check the bag he'd brought home with him with a new toothbrush, floss sample, and travel size toothpaste tube. Sure enough, his next appointment card was in there, too. I turned it over to Mr. L, who is a responsible adult and also an absent-minded professor type. I also left a note with Ms. V to check with Mr. L for that card so she can get it on the calendar. You have to hedge your bets.
At one point, i went into the main house to get something and Carl was up yet again, using the hall restroom. He stepped out and as he does not wear slippers or socks most of the time when he's napping, he stepped on something and quickly pulled his foot up to examine it and see what he'd stepped on.
"Rock!" he said, plucking what i assume was a tiny pebble off his foot. I say i assume that's what it was as he immediately threw it back on the floor and i couldn't find it.
I reminded him that if he steps on something like that, he needs to throw it away so he doesn't step on it again later. His face lit up as if that was a new concept, which it probably is.
For me, a little more dirt on the floor is job security.
Meanwhile, some pillow funnies.
