Bathroom Perspective (Cajun Joke) and Sunday Selections

Just because Sandee of Comedy Plus is no longer hosting a Silly Sunday blog hop, do not expect me to quit telling Cajun jokes, especially as it has now become a habit.

Grandma had very little in her dirty clothes pile yesterday, so i asked her about it.

She said, "I was bad this week, I didn't change often and only sponge bathed."

Of course, i told her that wasn't bad and it's her choice, she doesn't go anywhere or do anything that will get her really dirty, and indeed, she doesn't get dirty or stink, so it's up to her.

Boudreaux an' Clothile done add an extra bathroom to dey house as de kids done be growin' up an' needin' mo' room, an' dey puts a shower in 'cause de firs' bathroom only gots a tub.

Dis gets Tee Boudreaux to thinkin', an' he ax Boudreaux, "Père, do a shower be better'n a bath?"

An' Boudreaux say, "Mais, I don' know 'bout better, but a bath be like marriage, once you be in it a while, it don' be so hot no mo'."

Sunday Selections was started as a way for bloggers to use photos that might otherwise just languish in their files.  The rules have been relaxed, and it is now simply a showcase for your photos, new or old, good or bad, although nothing rude, please.  It was hosted by River, who still participates, and is now hosted by Elephant's Child.

First up, a few pretty things i happened to notice this week.

I noticed the bananas had been wrapped in foil, just the stems, and wondered what was up.  Turns out, Grandma has been looking for ways to make her bananas last longer.  We'll see if it helps.

My much-loved small local pharmacy suddenly went out of business!  Not only was i taken by surprise, i was left needing a prescription by the end of the week.  A call to my doctor and my meds were all transferred to a different small local pharmacy, which is not so close to the house but it just up the road from Ms. GA, my Friday client.  I was impressed by the artwork and the waiting corner, complete with a table, chairs, crayons and coloring books for the youngest clients.

We haven't had much rain, so very few "pretty" sunsets with lots of color and clouds for about a week.  Then last night i got these just in time to post for today.
