This week the theme is Meatloaf Appreciation.
Mom's humble helper meatloaf
Is always on reserve,
Ingredients at the ready,
Always glad to serve.
You can make it fancy
If you have some extras 'round,
But if the pocketbook is flat,
Add more breadcrumbs to meat ground.
We liked it stuffed with onions,
And sometimes even cheese,
But even without the additions,
The meal was sure to please.
When counting favorite meals
The humble loaf shan't be overlooked,
It's easy to assemble,
It's taste gets appetites hooked.
