Jack dog was on the bed and didn't want to move when it was time for me to change the bed.  All he did was scooch down a bit closer to the edge of the bed where Grandpa still hadn't gotten up.  It's like he was saying, "But I'm finally comfy!"

Sparks is the brainchild of Annie of McGuffy's Reader, who wanted us to post something positive and uplifting at the start of the week.  While she no longer blogs, i like to post an Inspiring Quote of the Week in her honor.

***********************************

Poetry Monday was started by Diane at On The Alberta/Montana Border.  Charlotte/Mother Owl and i are keeping it going while she takes a blog break, we hope temporarily.  Anyone else is welcome to join in the fun, just let us know!

This week the theme is Requirement.

*******

Poetry Monday

now a requirement for my

so slow-to-change brain

*******

While driving if it's raining in Sweden

the requirement will be

you have to have your headlights on

in order to be able to see.

What I fail to understand

and really want to know,

how to find out if it's raining in Sweden

and is it the same if there's snow?

A student was required,

on his test paper to sign,

saying he had no help,

and put his name on the line.

He pondered as he sat there

and finally asked the prof,

"Sir, I have a question,

and I hope you will not scoff.

"I'm not sure I can sign this

as I really have to say,

I prayed to The Almighty,

asking help on the test today."

The professor contemplated,

And finally, he said,

"Please pass me your paper."

He looked, then shook his head.

He said, "Yes, you may sign it,

and keep your conscience clear,

as it's evident from your answers

The Almighty did not hear!"

Future themes are:

1/15 requirement

1/22 teacher

1/29 flight

2/5 basket

2/12 toes

2/19 spice

2/26 ants
